The Colonial

Finishing Positions (0.5pt Stakes)

Summary: In a week where we had 6 players over the two tours in the final EW places we have done ok overall. Profit 12.13 Pts.

Pre Round Two Trades

We are going to adopt the same policy in this event as we have done in the European event. That is, to oppose players who have started well but where the upside is greater than the downside given the current leaderboard situation.

Pre Round One Trades

Buy Lucas Glover at 35 with IG Sport M/U 50, Profit 7.5 Pts
Glover has had a real up and down year. five Top 10's and five Maximum 50 M/U's. Here last year he missed the cut and it is apparent that he struggles on old tight style courses like this. So, at 35, even although no one else has yet to price up this event, he must be traded early. Although Glover has had a good year he is still averaging over 4 in 10 cuts missed and only making one in four Top 25's.

Buy Phil Mickelson at 17.7 with Cantor Spreadfair M/U 28.5, Profit 5.13 Pts
Given the downside I feel that we should play Mickelson at this price rather than wait to the event is in play. There is sufficient talent at this event and it is a course hard enough that Mickelson will have to perform to beat the quote so taking 17.7 or 18 at a conventional firm is worthy of interest.
