Spread Picks - PGA Tour

Tipster: Andy

John Deere Classic

Bets:  5 Wins:  4  Losses:  1  Profit/Loss =  +13 Pts.  As forecast earlier, it only takes one player to shoot low and these type of bets can be troublesome. Still, only one did so and it wasn't enough to wipe out the other three profits. Couple that with the 72H bet and the European trades and we have a 50pt+ week.

Pre Round Three Trades

Buy Jonathan Byrd at 41 with Spreadex M/U 16, Loss 12.5 Pts.

Buy Aaron Oberholser at 38 with Spreadex M/U 50, Profit 6 Pts

Buy Olin Browne at 40 with IG Sport M/U 50, Profit 5 Pts

Buy Dudley Hart at 41 with Sporting Index M/U 50, Profit 4.5 Pts
Four players who are currently tied 58th with 11 other players and who are being priced just a couple of points too low in my opinion. The downside to these type of bets is of course a low weekend from one can wipe out anything you gain from the others and if more than one does it its a heavy loss. However, like always its about probability and at the current numbers on average all these four players would not beat the quotes given.

Pre Round One Trades

Buy Zach Johnson 72H MB over Lucas Glover at 0 for 0.5 pts. with Cantor Spreadfair M/U 20, Profit 10 Pts
Very little appeals in the early FP prices but in the 72H matches I feel Johnson is good value on a straight no handicap bet at the exchange. Johnson has missed his last two cuts and is struggling a little to live up to the hype given to him when he appeared on the scene. However, he is too good a player to stay in this slump and may take heart from a 20th place last year. His opponent has had some great results this year but chucks in more than his fair share of missed cuts as well. Both players missed the cut last week at the Western Open but on all the info available Johnson should still be clear favourite.
