Stuart Appleby to beat Jim Furyk                        +100 @ FiveDimes

In terms of recent form Appleby has only just go the better form, backed up by his 3-month h2h's showing a 2-1-2 lead. In terms of course form there is little to split them with Furyk having won this tournament in 1995, 1998 and 1999. Although Appleby has only the one victory, in 2003, his tournament h2h stats give him a lead of 3-2-2. The clincher for me is firstly Furyk's recent poor putting displays and Appleby's superior birdie making ability throughout this season. +100 represents value on Appleby in my eyes.

Ben Crane to beat John Daly                                -111 @ GolfingGods

The h2h stats read strongly in Crane's favour (last 3 years:21-12-2, last year:7-1-1, last 3 months:2-0-0). He has reasonable figures on his previous starts in this tournament 19-62-15 and this year he is a considerably better player. He also lies second on PGA tour on putting stats. Daly's scoring average in this tournament is 3 shots worse per round than Crane's and there is no telling how Daly's putting (and inded his mental game) will hold up after last weekends putting debacle.

Bob Estes to beat Fred Funk                                -120 @ Stan James

Funk regularly struggles to make birdies due his short length of the tee coupled with his very poor putting stats.

So any reasonable display by Estes should give him a sound chance of winning this match-up. Encouraginly Estes

is showing decent recent form with 10 consecutive cuts made and a 15th place last time out. He also won this

event in 2001 and was 11th last year. Funk has shown very little in this tournament since his 12th place finish

back in 1996.
