Summary: Bets 5, Wins 1, Losses 4. Loss 13.65 Pts Round One Trades Sell Tag Ridings over Brandt Jobe 18H MB at 1 with Sporting Index for 0.3 Pts M/U 0, Profit 0.3 Pts Jobe leads 13-7 in events and 28-20 in rounds this year, and although not in the best of form he has made 5 of his last 6 cuts. Ridings meanwhile has very similar form but is made favourite here due to a course record of 11/3 which is better than Jobe's 34/27. Jobe should not be a clear outsider though even allowing for the course stats. Sell Greg Owen over John Cook 18H MB at 7 with Sporting Index for 0.3 Pts M/U 13, Loss 1.8 Pts Owen for every reason you can examine should beat Cook and has done so in their last 6 common events, but over the year Cook has won 3 of their 8 R1 matches with one tie and arguably Owen should be no higher than a 5-8 favourite. Sell Troy Matteson over Bart Bryant 18H MB at 1 with Sporting Index for 0.3 Pts M/U 16, Loss 4.5 Pts Matteson is in the form of his life with form figures of 8/6/1/2 but even the very best players do not continue a run like that too often past 4 events (Woods excepted) and possibly taking Bryant's 16th here and the fact he is up overall for 2006 against Matteson suggests this is a fair bet. Sell Joe Durant over Brett Wetterich 18H MB at 5 with Sporting Index for 0.3 Pts M/U 16, Loss 3.3 Pts From a player with form figures of 1/2 to last weeks winner, Durant. Another in exquisite form with a 2nd and a 6th in the events leading up to his win, he is, though, over-priced against the Ryder Cup player, Wetterich. Brett finished 6th in the AmEx and only a poor R4 stopped another high finish last week. This price should be no more than 2-5 Buy Fred Funk over Eric Axley 18H MB at 1.5 with Sporting Index for 0.3 Pts M/U -13, Loss 4.35 Pts Head to head's in 2006 show a 10-1-2 lead in tournaments and a 9-2-2 R1 lead for Funk who is priced at "your choice" against Axley who admittedly has improved no end of late with finishes of 1st and 3rd in October, but they are surrounded by 30 other starts this year where 24th is his best finish. This week nothing stands out on the Finishing Positions.
