5-13 and 1 tie: -6.39pts
wow, 7 bets 7 losers yesterday. That must be some sort of record! (it's been one of those weeks) round 4 2balls: Back Scott Verplank to beat Chad Campbell to win 1.25pts @2.14 at Pinnacle - won Verplank's exploits yesterday have put him a safe enough distance from the lead that his swing should no longer be hampered by his overflowing underpants. A return to the form of Thursday and Friday should be enough here. Back Kenny Perry to beat Sean O'Hair to win 1.75pts @1.95 at Olympic - won Despite Perry's propensity to disappoint of late he is still a much more accomplished player than O'Hair. Back Troy Matteson to beat Jerry Kelly to win 1.5pts @2.5 at Stan James - lost Matteson was leading Johnson by 2 in the matchup yesterday until an unlikely eagle from Zach on 17 and a bogey on the last from Troy saw him lose by one. This looks a fairly generous price.
------------------------------------------------------- adding round 3 2balls: Back Troy Matteson to beat Zach Johnson to win 2pts @2.94 at Betdaq - lost With all the attention on the other rookies such as Holmes, Watson and Villegas, Matteson has been somewhat overlooked. The man who earned his exemption by winning last year's Nationwide money list has actually made a pretty solid start to his career on the main tour with 4 top 35 finishes from 6 events. His total in last year's Nationwide money list set a new record for season earnings on that tour - funnily enough beating none other than Zach Johnson's record from 2003 by just $127. At these odds I think he is good value to pip Johnson once again today! Back Mark Wilson to beat Rich Beem to win 1pt @2.1 at Centrebet, ToteSport - lost Wilson has been in steady form recently and will take him over the very erratic Beem.
round 3 2balls: Back Phil Mickelson to beat Tiger Woods to win 1.5pts @2.44 at Pinnacle - lost Back Scott Verplank to beat Chad Campbell to win 1.5pts @2.1 at Carib - lost Hopefully same again on these two - Verplank has now won this matchup two days running. Back John Senden to beat Greg Owen to win 1.25pts @2.0 at Olympic - lost I make Senden favourite in this one, so with ties void this looks a good price. Back Tom Pernice to beat Davis Love to win 1.75pts @2.75 at Expekt - lost Back Jason Bohn to beat Ernie Els to win 1.5pts @3.25 at Totesport - lost Two big priced outsiders who, while they are more likely to lose than win, I consider value at these prices.
------------------------------------------------
round 2 2balls: Back Phil Mickelson to beat Tiger Woods to win 2pts @2.55 at Carib - won Woods shot the lights out yesterday, but Mickelson was only one stroke worse. This looks a very big price over 18 holes. Back Scott Verplank to beat Chad Campbell to win 1.5pts @2.12 at Pinnacle - won Back Jim Furyk to beat Retief Goosen to win 1.5pts at 2.19 at Expekt - lost Repeat of two of yesterday's plays. Verplank has started very well, so happy to get similar odds - in fact a tiny bit bigger than yesterday. I hope yesterday's round was just an abberation for Furyk - he really should be well suited to this course. Back Angel Cabrera to beat Kevin Na to win 1.5pts @1.98 at FiveDimes - lost Not really a huge fan of Cabrera when he's on American soil, but this price looks too good to turn down against young Na, who really hasn't achieved much at all of late.
--------------------------------------------
round 1 3ball: Back Tim Petrovic against Tiger Woods and Jeff Sluman to win 3pts @5.5 at Centrebet - lost Andy has gone for Petrovic against Woods in the spreads and from a fixed odds point of view it looks very attractive too.
--------------------- adding round 1 2ball: Scott Verplank to beat Chad Campbell to win 1.5pts @2.11 at Pinnacle - won I have Verplank probably shading this matchup on his superior course form, so odds-against looks value. ---------------------- Round 1 2balls: Back Vijay Singh to beat Tiger Woods to win 2.5pts @2.5 at FiveDimes - lost Plenty said elsewhere in favour of Singh this week, which I agree with. I also don't believe Tiger is at the top of his game. This looks a big price to me. Back Steve Lowery to beat Shaun Micheel to win 1.25pts @1.952 at FiveDimes - tie (void) Another big looking price. He doesn't have great form here, but Lowery is by far the better player of the two in my view. Back Jim Furyk to beat Retief Goosen to win 1pt @2.0 at Carib - lost With Furyk's record here I make him favourite in this matchup, so will take these odds with money back for a tie.
