Result: 3-5, -1.48pts.
round 4: Back Loren Roberts to beat Nick Price to win 0.75pts @2.15 at Pinnacle - tie (void) Back Bernhard Langer to beat Nick Price to win 0.5pts @2.0 at Carib - won Still think Price is being a bit over-rated here. He hasn't achieved anywhere near as much as fellow oldies Langer and Roberts in recent times. --------------------------------------------
adding round 3: Back Jeff Gove to beat Ernie Els to win 1.5pts @3.75 at Betfair - lost Ernie still seems to be lacking something in his game and until he proves he is fully recovered from his injury I'm happy to oppose him at such prices. Back Billy Andrade to beat Chris Riley to win 1.5pts @2.08 at Betfair - lost Andrade has a very good record here, while Riley continues to flatter to deceive. Back Tom Pernice to beat Geoff Ogilvy to win 1pt @2.48 at Betfair - won I see this one as a bit of a closer matchup than the odds available here suggest. -------------------- round 3: Back Bernhard Langer to beat Nick Price to win 1pt @2.0 at Carib - tie (void) Both could maybe be described as spent forces, but I personally think Price comes in to that category more than Langer. -----------------------------------------
round 2: Back Tim Petrovic against Davis Love and John Daly to win 2pts @4.6 at Betfair - lost No real positives about Petrovic, this simply just looks too big a price. ------------------------------------------------- round 1: Back Darren Clarke to beat Stewart Cink to win 1pt @1.99 at Pinnacle - lost Cink may have a good record here, but then Clarke should really have won this event last year. I don't see the Ulsterman as outsider of these two. Back Bo Van Pelt to beat Camilo Villegas to win 1pt @2.05 at Carib - won Bit early yet for the Columbian to be priced as a strong favourite against one of the more established young guns on tour. Back Nick O'Hern to beat Greg Owen to win 0.5pts @2.05 at FiveDimes - lost Back Bernhard Langer to beat Greg Owen to win 0.5pts @2.27 at Pinnacle - tie (void) All three have played well here before, so it comes down to who are the better players generally - at these prices I'll take the Australian and the German over the Englishman. |
