RESULT: 4-7, +1.30pts
addind round 4: Back Lucas Glover to beat Padraig Harrington to win 1pt @2.09 at Pinnacle - won Back Henrik Bjornstad to beat Mike Weir to win 1pt @2.34 at Pinnacle - lost Really just a case of these prices looking a bit too skewed towards the 'name' players. --------------------------- Round 4: Back Charley Hoffman to beat Charles Warren to win 1.5pts @2.3 at Pinnacle - lost Think this price is a little on the large side for Hoffman in this battle of two young Charlies, which I see as being much more of an even contest.
-------------------------------------------------- Round 2: Back John Senden to beat Joe Durant to win 2.5pts @2.35 at FiveDimes - won No idea how they arrived at this price. Both shot -1 yesterday and by my reckoning Senden is the better player generally. ----------------------------------------------------
Round 1: Back Darren Clarke to beat Vijay Singh to win 1.25pts @2.8 at Pinnacle - won I make this match a fair bit closer than these odds. Back Brandt Jobe against Greg Owen and Scott McCarron to win 2pts @2.87 at Skybet - lost If length proves to be important here then Jobe is no slouch in that department. A good showing at the Masters will hopefully get his season back on track after a dip in form. Back Wes Short against Aaron Baddeley and Brent Geiberger to win 5pts @5.2 at Betfair - lost We could see an adverse reaction to winning from Baddeley (in fact if he just goes back to playing like he usually does then it will appear like a bad reaction). Short hasn't really produced much since his shock win last year but this looks a very generous price. Back Phil Taturangi against Lucas Glover and Craig Perks to win 1.5pts @4.0 at Paddy Power - lost A 3 ball with Perks in it is nigh on a 2 ball, and despite Glover being strongly fancied in the outright markets there is value in getting with Taturangi here. Back Jonathan Kaye against Padraig Harrington and Mark Brooks to win 2pts @3.4 at Betfair - won Back Mark Brooks against Padraig Harrington and Jonathan Kaye to win 2pts @6.6 at Betfair - lost Or alternatively, you could just lay Harrington. Back Shaun Micheel against David Toms and John Daly to win 1.75pts @5 at Betfair - lost With interest surrounding David Toms' involvement in designing the course, and interest in the likes of Daly because of the length of it, it seems like Micheel has been disregarded here pushing him out to a value price.
