No time to assess round 4 with the weather delays.

RESULT: 6-6 (and 1 tie), +6.13pts

Round 3:

Back Vijay Singh to beat Tiger Woods to win 1.5pts @2.45 at Carib - lost

Will go again on this one despite it not coming in yesterday. Woods may be about to commence his customary Augusta charge, but then again he may not be. Still think this looks a great value price.

Back Geoff Ogilvy to beat Davis Love to win 1.25pts @2.31 at Pinnacle - won

You never really know what you're going to get from Love these days. Could be brilliant, could be awful. A bad start here could well see another towel job from him.

Back Stephen Ames to beat Mike Weir to win 0.75pts @2.1 at Expekt - won

Back Arron Oberholser to beat Mike Weir to win 0.5pts @2.21 at Pinnacle - tie (void)

First of two double opposition plays (although to half the stakes on each that I would have played them individually, so not really double opposition, more a case of spreading the burden of support). I just think Weir is an overrated player, and while he has won here these prices justify opposing him.

Back Billy Mayfair to beat Padraig Harrington to win 1pt @2.62 at Bet365 (note same price available at Betfair) - won

Back Nick O'Hern to beat Padraig Harrington to win 1pt @2.26 at Pinnacle - lost

I think Harrington is even more overrated than Weir! Had worries about Mayfair and O'Hern struggling with the lengthening, but that hasn't been the case.

adding round 2:

Back Shingo Katayama against Phil Mickelson and Ernie Els to win 6pts @12 at Betfair - won

Katayama isn't one of the no-hopers who clog up the bottom of the Masters leaderboard year after year, he is in fact a highly talented pro from Japan with a very respectable record of 3 out of 4 cuts made in this event. He may be up against two of the favourites for the whole event, but this price is far too big in my opinion.

Round 2:

Back Vijay Singh to beat Tiger Woods to win 1.75pts @2.4 at Carib - lost

Simply have to play this one again, after yesterday's comfortable win it looks an even better bet, even at slightly lower odds than yesterday.

Back Fuzzy Zoeller against Paul McGinley and Charles Howell to win 2pts @10.5 at Betfair  -lost

Maybe a bit of a silly one - but Zoeller actually beat Howell yesterday and tied with McGinley! Worth a speculative bet at very little risk.

------------------------------------------------------------

Round 1:

Back Vijay Singh to beat Tiger Woods to win 1.25pts @2.5 at FiveDimes - won

Back Jim Furyk to beat Retief Goosen to win 1.25pts @2.3 at FiveDimes - lost

Back Lee Westwood to beat Padraig Harrington to win 1.25pts @2.1 at FiveDimes - lost

Back Stephen Ames to beat Jose Maria Olazabal to win 1.25pts @2.5 at FiveDimes - won

The four players opposed here all have good Augusta records and appear to be strongly supported on outright markets, but that has been factored in to these prices and in my opinion somewhat overplayed. Singh, Furyk and Westwood have all done well here to varying degrees also, while Ames' last outing at Sawgrass was one of the best performances by any player in a long time - and in similarly dry conditions to those expected for this.
