Summary: 7 Bets, 3 Wins, 4 Losses, Profit 19.5 Pts

Tournament Trades

Buy Stephen Ames FP at 33 with Sporting Index for 0.6 Pts M/U 76, Profit 25.8 Pts
Basically, Ames should contend this week, he has form figures of 7/1/11/cut/22/4 in his last 6 events, an average FP of 21. However, his course stats are cut/6/30 in the last 3 years so that shows that although he is a great run of form he hasn't shone too well here in the past. There are 106 entrants this week, less than usual, but arguably the depth of quality is so much better than the full field event last week in Memphis. So, although purely on numbers it must be easier to make the cut this week, I would argue it is harder and at 33 with such a large upside, Ames should be traded at Sporting rather than the 31 available elsewhere.

Buy Robert Allenby FP at 35 with
IG Sport for 0.6 Pts M/U 50, Profit 9 Pts
A very poor record round here for the Australian with an average course FP of 39 and with his current form uninspiring this year, 35 is value in what is arguably the 3rd best field Allenby has played in this year. Two top 20's in seven previous events is the best Allenby has offered this year and with a fair amount of quality here this week he should possibly be priced in the high 30's.

Buy Stuart Appleby at 32 with IG Sport for 0.6 Pts M/U 28, Loss 2.4 Pts
Appleby has beaten 70 on this course only once in his last 12 rounds here so he certainly won't have too many positive vibes about this venue. We have opposed him recently on a few occasions as his season was running at an unbelievable high and we finally seen some reward for the effort after a closing 80 in his last event took him outside the Top 50.
He has been priced at around 32 in poorer fields than this so it's probably fair value.

Round One Trades

Sell Camilo Villegas over Tom Pernice at 0 with IG Sport for 0.3 Pts M/U -22, Profit 6.6 Pts
Both players finished top 20 last week in Memphis with Pernice challenging all the way, finishing 2nd. Pernice has only missed one cut here in six visits whereas the Columbian has yet to play at this course and with these bits of known form I would suggest IG have the favourite the wrong way round.

Sell Charl Schwartzel over Thomas Levet at 0 with IG Sport for 0.3 Pts M/U 25, Loss 7.5 Pts
Two missed cuts and an 81st is Schwartzel's record on this tour and although Levet has struggled to compete in America his stats stand up a little better than the South African's. Like the advice above, IG arguably have the wrong favourite.

Sell David Howell over Jesper Parnevik at 5 with IG Sport for 0.3 Pts M/U 31, Loss 7.8 Pts
Howell is a winner from last week and the potential mental letdown from this, the travel and the fact that Parnevik has never missed a cut in 8 completed events here suggests this bet should be 2-5 at the most. Howell missed the cut in his only appearance, admittedly 7 years ago, shooting 79/76.

Sell David Howell over Jay Haas at 5 with IG Sport for 0.3 Pts M/U 19, Loss 4.2 Pts
This is a meeting of two players who both won last week, Haas on the Champions Tour in their first major. Of course the argument regarding mental letdown can apply to Haas too, but a record for him round Muirfield of 17/20/cut/21/8/21 since the turn of the century suggests the price for Howell is over-estimated in this match up as well.
