There doesn't appear to be much to separate these two players. In h2h's this season it's 9-8 in
Maruyama's favour, all square at 20-20 when taken over all rounds. Both players have very similar
records here with Maruyama having an average FP of 37th while Howell has an average FP of 38.
Both players also have decent if rather inconsistent current form. With little to separate them the
odds of +105 should be taken.
Joe Ogilvie to beat Shaun Micheel -109 @ Centrebet
Here we have two players in excellent form with a very similar h2h record this season, 9-10 in
Micheel's favour and 25-24 in Ogilvie's favour over all rounds. But Ogilvie has performed well here
on his last two starts with four sub-70 rounds last year and a round of 61 in 2004. Micheel finished
5th here in 2002 but his overall record of mc-44-mc-05-59-mc is hardly inspiring. Also Micheel, who
performed with tremendous credit in last weeks Matchplay, had to play a serious amount of golf in
the process. I make Ogilvie a slight favourite without any potential tiredness that may creep into
Micheel's play. |
