Tournament Trades
Sell Joe Durant over Rod Pampling 72H MB at 0.5 with IG Sport for 1 pt.
M/U 10, Loss 9.5 Pts
With a 27 field it negates any possible value you can get on Finishing Positions, and where I wouldn't put anyone off selling Pampling at 14 with Spreadex, there is probably a little more value taking him in a match against Durant with a half point start. Head to heads this year show a 6-6 tie in tournaments with Pampling leading 8-4 in R1 matches. Four Top 6's in a row for Durant commands respect but he can't keep that up for ever and Pampling comes into the event showing a bit of form with a 6th place last week and is a far better player making twice as many cuts and posting twice as many Top 25's. There is no course form to go on but examining form in this state, Durant has played 9 times this century never beating the 38th place he posted in an event in 2000. Pampling, meanwhile, has two top 20's at Augusta over the last two years.
Round One Trades
Sell K.J. Choi over Zach Johnson 18H MB (Mythical) at 4 with Sporting Index for 0.3 Pts.
M/U -13, Profit 5.1 Pts
Sporting have offered a number of made up matches to go with the actual draw pairings and of all those on offer, real and mythical, it is only this match that offers up any sort of value. In 15 matches this year against each other Choi just leads overall and has won the last four, but Johnson has a lead in R1 matches at 8-6-1 and in those four recent wins for Choi, Johnson has won three R1 matches. Their average M/U in those 13 R1 matches is -3.6 and possibly the price should be around about 2-5.
