FINAL RESULT Atwal tied with Fischer (void) Kelly beat Herron (mc)
Bets: 2 Wins: 1 Losses: 0 Profit/Loss = +2.00 pts
Matchup bets: (Total Stake: 2pts) Arjun Atwal to beat Todd Fischer -102 @ FiveDimes Atwal has had a disappointing season so far having missed 13 out of 21 starts. Despite this he still leads Fischer on this season h2h's by 11-5-2. The main reason for Atwal's disappointing form has been his iron play, on average hitting around 50% GIR. But his last two starts he has hit over 75% GIR resulting in a 15th place finish last time out. Meanwhile Fischer's downturn in form can be attributed to a decline in his putting, his best attribute. Both Fischer and Atwal have decent previous course experience, although Fischer missed the cut last time he played here. With Atwal having won 8 out of the last 9 h2h's with Fischer and evidence that an upturn in his form is imminent the price represents good value.
Jerry Kelly to beat Tim Herron +100 @ Sporting Odds
Since Herron won the Colonial back in May his form has been in serious decline with finishes of 01-16-68-63-mc- 78-mc while Kelly has been performing well with finishes of 12-57-mc-13-mc-30-26. Kelly's recent accuracy and par 3 stats indicates a liking for this course and this is reinforced by his record here. He has previously had a couple of top-5 finishes and is his last 3 starts has finished 12-13-14. Herron also has a couple of top-5 finishes but in his last couple of starts here he has finishes of mc and 50. I can't make Herron favourite here and I would have Kelly at -120.
