Spread Betting News (Sporting Index)

Summary: 3 Bets, 3 Wins. Profit 30.45 Pts

Bet 1 - Buy Chris Di'Marco FP at 41 with
Sporting Index for 0.6 Pts M/U 72, Profit 18.6 Pts
In 23 starts on this tour since DiMarco finished 2nd in Liverpool last year, he has managed to beat this FP M/U just 4 times. His average FP in that time is 57 and his last finish of better than 41st on this tour was 8 events ago at Sawgrass in the Players Championship. With no real course form to study in this event, his current form gives a compelling case for opposing and being in Scotland 3 days before he tees off in this event can surely do further damage to his chances.

Bet 2 - Buy Bo Van Pelt over Carlos Franco 18H MB at 6 with
IG Sport for 0.3 Pts M/U 19, Profit 3.9 Pts
6 missed cuts in a row for Franco with two of them coming in the 2nd level Nationwide tour and the other in the US Bank last week which was one of the poorest fields of the year, being positioned the same week at The Open. He is certainly badly out of form so it is a surprise to see 6 chalked up as the handicap for getting with Van Pelt. Two missed cuts in three starts isn't exactly good form for Van Pelt but he was 6th in the Travelers' event in June and i suppose good recent form would have seen this quote in double figures. H2H's, sparse though they may be due to Franco not getting the starts he used to, still show a healthy 10-2 lead over 12 months in which BVP has won the last 10 in a row.

Bet 3 - Buy Bob Tway over John Daly 18H MB at 1.5 with IG Sport for 0.3 Pts M/U 28, Profit 7.95 Pts
Last week Daly led the Open during R1 and then proceeded to collapse rapidly over the last few holes to finish well down the pack, with R2 bringing the inevitable cut miss. He is paired tomorrow with veteran Tway in a "choice" priced match-up and although Tway isn't competing on this tour he leads Daly 10-5 in H2H's. Admittedly, purely on R1 scores Daly leads 9-6 but their is still value in the price offered given Daly's occasional high scores posted (it is only 2 months since he posted an 87 at Wachovia).
