Spread Betting News (Sporting Index)

Summary: 4 Bets, 2 Wins, 2 Losses. Profit 0.9 Pts

Bet 1 - Buy Jerry Kelly FP at 37 with
Spreadex for 0.6 Pts. M/U 9, Loss 16.8 Pts
Kelly visited a mind guru earlier in the season and since then he has been playing on a completely different level to what he has in the past. Top 10's in four events from Arnold Palmer's event til the Nelson propelled him up the money list but average finishes of 43rd and 28th in his last two starts suggest he may just have fallen back towards normality. His Colonial record is poor with an average FP of 54 and a best finish 12th. He has failed to beat 37 in 6 of those 8 starts and although allowances have to be made for him being on the run he is on, he would have been high 40's had it not happened.

Bet 2 - Buy Ken Duke FP at 40 with IG Sport for 0.6 Pts. M/U 71, Profit 18.6 Pts
Another player who seems to have been hypnotised into believing he is a golfing superstar, Duke has a similar run of 4 top 10's in a row which was stopped by a 37th at Sawgrass and he might just be going back to normality again. Certainly if he is, prices of 40 won't appear for Duke for a while.  It's also a course debut and with poor form in the State of Texas, everything points to 40 being value.

Bet 3 - Sell Nathan Green over Hunter Mahan 18H MB at 5 with Sporting Index for 0.3 Pts M/U 25, Loss 6 Pts
Bet 4 - Sell Jeff Quinney over Hunter Mahan 18H MB at 4 with
Sporting Index for 0.3 Pts M/U -13, Profit 5.1 Pts
A double play getting with Mahan who shot 69 yesterday but is being priced as a big outsider due to the fact his opponents had better scores. In R2 scoring alone Green leads Mahan 10-9-4 for an average MU of 0.7, Quinney trails 6-5 even although he has won 18 of 29 rounds overall. Both Green and Quinney have winning records of 13-9 and 8-3 respectively but Mahan has the better R2 stats and ever disregarding that, 13-9 and 8-3 do not transfer to 5 and 4pt handicaps.
