Summary: 5 Bets, 4 Wins, 1 Loss. Profit 10.05
Pts
Bet 1 - Buy Nathan Green FP at 46 with Sporting Index for 0.6 Pts M/U 56, Profit 6 Pts 33rd in his only appearance at the FBR, Green is worth an interest at Sporting's 46. His average in 2006 was 49 and in a list of FP quotes this week that seem about right, this one is worth trading. Bet 2 - Sell Phil Mickelson over Sean O' Hair 18H MB at 10 with Sporting Index for 0.3 Pts M/U 0, Profit 3 Pts A rather average start to his year means that Mickelson is value ot oppose at Sporting's offer of 10. Had he started by winning or finishing top 5 in any of his events so far he would still be around this price, so I was expecting single figures on him here against O'Hair. This is bet purely on price because everything points to a Mickelson win even allowing for the slow start, but there are enough question marks to suggest we have a bit of value at 10. Bet 3 - Sell Lee Janzen over Bob Estes 18H MB at 0 with Sporting Index for 0.3 Pts M/U -13, Profit 3.9 Pts Estes leads Janzen 12-8 in both events and R1 scoring from the start of 06 so it probably not deserving of his underdog tag here. janen has some good form on this course but mostly from years ago and there is nothing to suggest Janzen should be favourite apart from some improved form towards the end of 2006. Bet 4 - Sell Charles Warren over Bo van Pelt 18H MB at 1 with IG Sport for 0.3 Pts M/U -16, Profit 5.1 Pts Similarly a 12-8 lead in the last year for Van Pelt over Warren who missed the cut last year after an 8th place in 2005. Van Pelt has a 14th along with two disappointing performances here and this should possibly be a "choice" price. Bet 5 - Sell Daniel Chopra over Jesper Parnevik 18H MB at -1.5 with IG Sport for 0.3 Pts M/U 25, Loss 7.95 Pts Superior course for for Parnevik here, past winner and a 2nd as well as 3 other Top 20s compared to Chopra's 27th and 69th in two starts. Both missed the cut last week so it is a play on course form essentially as their 2006 records against each other are fairly similar.
