Spread Betting News (Sporting Index)

Summary: Bets 3, Losses 3. Loss 18.6 Pts. A poor week all round, bar the Seniors.

Bet 1 - Sell Lee Westwood over Brian Gay 18H MB at 1 with
Sporting Index / Bet HiLo for 0.3 Pts M/U 22, Loss 6.9 Pts
Bet 2 - Sell Robert Karlsson over Brian Gay 18H MB at 3 with Sporting Index / Bet HiLo for 0.3 Pts M/U 13, Loss 3 Pts
Gay has fair 2006 form in Texas with his worst finish in 3 starts, 21st. This compares with an overall season average of 43. Westwood and Karlsson have both played in this state once and both struggled. In fact, Westwood averages 48th place on this tour in 06' even although he achieved 2 top 5's early on in the season in Los Angeles and Orlando. Karlsson has only played on this tour on 10 occasions since the turn of the century, and has a best placed 27th in that time, with an 84 in his last tour round at Bay Hill. He has since finished 11th in Miami in the WGC event hence the higher price, but both bets are value to get with the "unknown" against the European Ryder Cuppers.

Bet 3 - Buy Vaughn Taylor FP at 43 with
Spreadex for 0.6 Pts M/U 28.5, Loss 8.7 Pts
3rd last week, Taylor is priced fairly low at 43 on the back of that. His 2007 average including the 3rd is around 46 and his Texas form shows finishes of mc (here), 57 and 17 in 2006. That 17th in the Colonial was his best state result in 11 starts and even although the cream of world golf aren't here with a slightly bigger event taking place next week, he is still value at the price offered.
