Matchup plays:
Stake 3pts Jose Maria Olazabal to beat Paul Casey +100 @ Paddy Power Consistent players are always the friend of the matchup bettor and this is the primary reason behind this bet.
Although Olazabal recent stats are relatively poor his scoring is not being too adversely affected. He followed
up a decent Masters display with a top-20 finish at the Wachovia and then 3rd in the Players Championship.
He has a decent record here with previous finishes of 10-45-11 and he should put up a good showing again.
Casey on the other hand is far too inconsistent on this tour. He has put together some decent finishes but in the
last three years he has missed the cut on 59% of his starts, a shocking record for a player of his ability. Although
he finished 18th here last season his inconsistency ensures there is no guarantee of a similar performance.
Stake 3pts Stewart Cink to beat Adam Scott +103 @ Expekt A big price for Cink considering he has won the last 6 h2h's with Scott. He is arguably in better form than Scott
with four top 20 finishes in his last 6 starts and his course form is excellent with again four top 20 finishes in his
last 6 appearances. Scott has been inconsistent and largely disappointing this season. He did achieve a 6th place
at the Players last time out but largely due to a closing 67 and his course form is inconsistent with previous finishes
of 29-52-4. One area where Scott struggles is in scrambling, both from the rough and around the green, and that is
going to be a requirement this week. With Cink having the better h2h record and given course and current form this
is a large price. |
