Jim Furyk to win 18/1 e.w. @ Stan James, Victor Chandler, Boyle Sports  23rd
It was a welcome return to his early season form for Furyk last week even though he lost out in the playoff. And when you rank 1st for greens in regulation and 2nd for putts per green in regulation on the week, you really do deserve victory. It didn't happen last week, but this is a very good time to hit top form. Not only is Jack's event such a prestigious one - and one that Furyk won in 2002 - but the U.S. Open is now only a few weeks away. Furyk looks to be back to his best and that doesn't just mean he should give himself a chance to win, but he also becomes a very consistent top-10 finisher which makes these odds decent value primarily for the place component.

Adam Scott to win 28/1 e.w. available generally  5th
Scott will never be a consistent top-10 performer, but he does convert a good proportion of his chances to win and he did that in the Houston Open last month. In his last outing he finished 6th in the Players Championship and a year ago he finished 4th on this course. And having been in 4th and 3rd position after the opening round in his previous two visits, this is clearly a course on which he feels comfortable. Less value in the place component for these odds, but 28/1 to win looks more than fair for this player.

Brett Wetterich to be first round leader 80/1 e.w. @ Bet365, Paddy Power  mc
I wouldn't back Wetterich to win this event, but there is certainly good reason to consider him for the first round leader market. He has led after the opening round in two of fourteen starts this year and they have been against strong fields (Mercedes-Benz Championship and The Masters), but would not should another round under 70 in each event afterwards. He was 2nd after the opening round of the Byron Nelson Championship a month ago, but still finished in 10th place. In fact, last year's Memorial Tournament was one of the few events in which he has managed to maintain a strong opening round - he was 3rd after round 1 - and finish highly: he was runner-up to Carl Pettersson. So 80/1 to be first round leader when he has a morning tee-time looks good value.
