Summary: Bets 7, Wins 4, Loss 3.
Profit 0.63 Pts
Bet 1 - Sell Charles Howell over Stewart Cink 72H MB at 0.85 with Sporting Index / Bet HiLo for 0.6 Pts M/U 13, Loss 7.29 Pts Howell has won the last 3 match ups for these two players as he has started 2007 far brighter but long term Cink leads by 10-5 and has better course form with 8 cuts from 8 made and an average FP of 32 against Howell's 38 in 5 starts. Bet 2 - Sell Troy Matteson over Charley Hoffman 18H MB at 1 with Sporting Index / Bet HiLo for 0.3 Pts M/U -34, Profit 10.5 Pts A 14-10 H2H for Hoffman and a good start to the season with a win behind him means that Hoffman possibly doesn't deserve his "outsider" tag here. Bet 3 - Sell Nathan Green over Brett Quigley 18H MB at -1.5 with Sporting Index / Bet HiLo for 0.3 Pts M/U -16, Profit 4.35 Pts
Head to heads here shows a huge 16-8 lead for Quigley and two Top 30's in a row, averaging 42 so far, is fair form on this tour against Green's 50 FP average. Bet 4 - Sell Phil Mickelson over Ernie Els 18H MB at -1.5 with Spreadex for 0.3 Pts M/U 19, Loss 6.15 Pts This bet is based on the current belief being promoted by Mickelson that he is now a far straighter driver than he ever was. This may or may not be true but the belief seems to stem from one week's form and I would rather side with Els in this match up who I feel will suit the surroundings a little more. R2 Bet 5 - Buy Stephen Ames over David Duval 18H MB at 4 with Sporting Index / Bet HiLo for 0.3 Pts. M/U 19, Profit 4.5 Pts
An average M/U of 8 in R2 matches between these two gives a little value in a buy at 4 on this R2 match where both players shot the same score yesterday. Ames is averaging 2 strokes per round lower than Duval over the last 12 months so should arguably be a little higher than 4 even accepting the bet would have been a loser yesterday.
Bet 6 - Sell David Toms over Stewart Cink 72H MB at 3.2 with IG Sport for 0.6 Pts. M/U -1, Profit 1.92 Pts Doubling up on 72H MB's with Cink in a match where it seems strange that he is considered 3/4 of a stroke underdog for the rest of this event. Both players are out late and although Cink on his current score is more likely to miss the cut than Toms, being one stroke nearer, this seems to have been over factored into the quote. In previous visits here, Toms has missed three cuts from four starts which is vastly inferior to the results shown in the other Cink bet above.
R3 Bet 7 - Buy Jim Furyk FP at 16 with Sporting Index / Bet HiLo for 0.6 Pts.
M/U 4, Loss 7.2 Pts
