Stake 2pts Donald to beat Mickelson +125 @ Coral, Boylesports
The final round of the Honda Classic was a big disappointment for any fan of Donald. Just as it looked as if he had the event by the scruff of the neck he puts together an incredibly average final round to finish second. He has been a player full of promise for a while now, here's hoping he doesn't remain a promising youngster. But when it comes to matchups Donald doesn't need to win and general consistency is valued a lot more. The course should suit Donald's accurate game, his current form is decent and he is likely to go close again. As for Mickelson, well who knows what he's going to do this week, I'm pretty sure he doesn't. His current, previous course and Florida records are as you would expect, decent but inconsistent. So at these odds I am more than happy to take the consistent player with consitions to suit against Mickelson. Donald (mc) beaten by Mickelson

Stake 2pts Bryant to beat Furyk +125 @ Coral         (+120 @ William Hill)
Stake 2pts Garcia to beat Furyk   -110 @ Widely Available
Furyk hasn't really got going so far this season and despite having a game that one would expect to be suited to this course, his previous record here is nothing special. In fact he has only made one appearance here in the last seven years and he looks to be one to oppose this week.
Bryant has a lot going for him this week, an accurate game suited to this course, excellent recent form, very consistent form (always a bonus for matchup plays), a decent Florida record and a top twenty finish in each of his three previous starts here. His previous h2h record against Furyl doesn't point to an obvious bet but once you narrow in on the course and region and with recent form to his advantage this begins to look like a decent price.
Garcia on the otherhand is a lot like Donald, he is an unrelaible sort when it comes to being a selection to win outright but he has a pretty consistent record on the tour and so is a nice choice for matchups, if his dreaded putting holds up. But as the greens are apparently on the poor side this week hopefully it will nullify most of the deficiencies in this part of his game. He has a decent previous record here 5 top ten finishes from his last 7 starts here. His recent accuracy stats are very encouraging and with a 9-3 h2h record over the past 12 months and conditions in his favour he has an excellent chance this week.
