Round 2 plays (2pts):
Kevin Sutherland to beat Mathew Goggin -106 @ Five Dimes LOST by 1
Ben Crane to beat Hunter Mahan -105 @ Carib LOST by 5
No time for write-ups today.
Round 3 plays (2pts):
Jon Mills to beat Dustin Johnson -113 @ Five Dimes LOST by 4 Mills has been in much the better form recently, finishing ahead of Johnson in each of their last four common events, and has never shot a worse 3rd round score than Johnson
Kenny Perry to beat Hunter Mahan +105 @ Pinnacle and WSEX [also available at Bet365 and Carib] WON by 3 Can't see Perry being plus-odds in this matchup, particularly given Mahan's previously very poor form on this course. Perry's record when just off the pace is good and he should remain in contention after this round
Anthony Kim to beat J.J. Henry -113 @ Pinnacle [also available at Carib and WSEX] WON by 1 Kim's record when well-down the field is surprisingly good for a young player: in the 10 occasions that he has been 45th or lower after 2 rounds, he has never shot worse than 71 in the 3rd round and averages 69.2.
Round 4 plays (2pts):
Matt Kuchar to beat Charley Hoffman -115 @ Five Dimes WON by 2 After eight consecutive missed cuts, it looked like Hoffman had rediscovered his game in his last event when finishing 6th in the Houston Open three weeks ago, but that has not been the case here - he ranks 36th in total driving and 48th in ball striking this week, so his current 2nd place position is the result of a very hot putter, no more. Kuchar is playing much better and should beat Hoffman whose putting should cool under the final round pressure
Ken Duke to beat Nathan Green -115 @ Five Dimes LOST by 2 Another strange matchup with players of very differing leaderboard positions. Duke has shown good form recently, finished 7th here last year and is currently 10th, while ranked 3rd in greens in regulation this week. Green is very near the bottom of this week's ranking in terms of driving and greens in regulation and so deserves to be in 70th place, a position from which he has shot some very high final round scores
