Johnson may have partied all week and only picked up a club again as this event's start approaches. Assuming he is fit and ready for R1, he seems a fair price against the player in the field with the most weight on his shoulders. Weir has started each year in his home Open with great expectations and since 1996 has only played all 4 days half the time. His best finish is 2nd in 04' when he should arguably have won and his only other Top 20 was the year previous. Strip it down to this venue only and his record reads cut/cut/cut/70/2. Whilst Johnson was winning in the sun, Weir was getting blown away in a 39th place finish in England and with a start of 9 points Johnson is a touch of value.
