Stake 3pts Choi to beat Stricker -115 @ Carib
Stake 3pts Choi to beat Singh +107 @ Pinnacle
Choi retains his form well, has a decent and pretty consistent record here and really has a game that suits this course perfectly. Stricker on the other hand has done very little here previously (best finish of 42nd from 4 starts) and his record in California is quite poor with a number of missed cuts. It's pretty level on the h2h front but with conditions in Choi's favour he should be a shorter price here. Singh has never finished better than 18th (back in 2000) and there must be some sort of mental letdown after last weeks finish. Choi beat Stricker by 1    Choi beat Singh by 5

Stake 3pts Garcia to beat Harrington -105 @ Carib
Garcia has started the season well, has a decent record here with three top 20 finishes and an excellent record in the region. He also seems to perform better on birdie friendly courses, which is all rather strange for such a poor putter. Harrington played well last week and performed well last year. But on the PGA tour Garcia is the better player and if his putting holds up then he should be favourite in this match up. Garcia beaten by Harrington by 9

Stake 3pts Baddeley to beat Z. Johnson -110 @ Pinnacle, Centrebet, Stan James
Baddeley's game should be suited to this course and has performed well here in the past. And although his current form is inconsistent he has shown enough to go close again this week. Both Johnson's current form and previous course record show consistency but not enough to suggest that he will be a contender this week. If Baddeley's game is on then he should be able to take this. Baddeley tied with Johnson

Stake 3pts O'Hern to beat Mahan -106 @ Five Dimes
O'Hern had an encouraging four rounds last week to follow on from his 2nd in the Australian Open. He had a disappointing 67th place finish here last season but it was his first start of the PGA season (he missed the cut in his first start this season and in 2006). His game should be suited to this course and his recent accuracy and putting stats are encouraging. Mahan doesn't have a lot to recommend him. He has missed his last 2 cuts, has missed the cut both times he has played here and his recent putting stats have been poor. O'Hern withdrew

Stake 3pts Westwood to beat Rose -110 @ Bet365
Westwood's recent revival has been astonishing. In his last 12 starts he has 11 top ten finishes and 7 top five finishes, and these have come in some very decent fields. Together with a top five finish here last season and some excellentn putting and GIR stats then he has sound credentials for going close again this week. Rose of course was the consistency king last season on this tour but this is his first start of the year and his early season form even last year was poor. With little course form from four starts Westwood has a great chance. Westwood (mc) beaten by Rose (mc)
