Stake 3pts Couples to beat Immelman -110 @ Sportingbet
Stake 4pts Couples to beat Perry -110 @ Stan James

Despite winning the Masters Immelman's form this season has been extremely poor and in his two previous starts here he has missed the cut both times. His short game is very poor at the moment and I think it could play a big part this week so I wouldn't expect a return to form for him here. Perry doesn't regularly offer too many surprises. His recent form is consistent and he has average previous form here at Sawgrass. I expect another cut made this week but well down the field come Sunday.
Couples is on top of his game at the moment and has a decent record here, winning in 1996. His only recent blark mark was at the Masters when he had the added presure on him of making another cut and agonisingly missed the vital putt on the final green. On a course that will favour good second shot players and, I think even more so, good scramblers. All the evidence points to another strong showing from Couples this week.

Stake 4pts Garcia to beat Els -110 @ BetFred & Sportingbet
Stake 3pts Goosen to beat Els +100 @ Skybet & Ladbrokes
There aren't too many encouraging signs for Els this week with a recent record of mc-75-mc-mc. His previous form here is decent enough but he has rarely threatenened to make an impact in this event. And his recent stats, particularly on the driving side are very poor. Garcia has twice went close to winning this tournament including a second place finish last year. And his recent form has been consistent and pretty strong, he was even tied 6th for putting last time out. He should go close this week if his head is switched on. Goosen started off the year in truly terrible fashion but there is enough evidence now to show that he is over that and is back to his old self again. His previous form here was dreadful but after taking a number of years to get used to the course his last three efforts of 12-2-28 show that he has the game to go close again.

Goosen beaten by Els by 7

Stake 5pts Goggin to beat Pampling -110 @ Skybet
Goggin performs very well in the key stats and should have the game for this course, backed up by his 12th place finish here last year. Also his current form is excellent with four top twenty finishes in his last four starts. Pampling finished an encouraging 8th place last time out, primarily due to one good closing round. Before that he had four missed cuts from five starts. His course form his inconsistent and hardly sparkling. I feel that Goggin has a great chance to go close this week and has a great chance of beating Pampling at very generous odds.

Stake 3pts Leonard to beat Rose -110 @ Ladbrokes
Stake 3pts Westwood to beat Rose -110 @ Centrebet
Just as Leonards recent great form looked as if it was tailing off his game picks up again and last time out he finished 19th despite a couple of triple-bogeys. He has not come close to missing a cut this season and he has enough experience of playing Sawgrass to put in another strong showing again this week.
Westwood is another player who has rediscovered his form this season to dramatic effect. Numerous top ten finishes and a good showing at the Masters has him as one of the strongest players around at the moment and with top ten finishes here at Sawgrass in the past he must be in a positive frame of mind going into this week, despite his putting concerns.
Rose started the season in fair form, certainly it was not a patch on last seasons form, but his recent finishes have been very disappointing. He also has very disappointing form here previously with finishes of 39-58-mc-mc. There are few signs of a return to last seasons form for Rose this week and favour is definitely withe the in-form couple of Leonard and Westwood.
