Stake 2pts Estes to beat Byrd -110 @ Ladbrokes & Intertops
Stake 3pts Merrick to beat Byrd -110 @ Expekt
Byrd's game is still plagued with inconsistency and he has only one decent finish to show for his efforts this season. He also has very little to show from two previous starts here.
After a disappointing start to the season Estes has at last discovered some of his consistency with only one missed cut from his last six starts. He also has the advantage of finishing second here in 2006.
Merrick has had a decent season and already leads Byrd 9-2 in h2h's this season. He has some decent finishes but his stats are even more impressive than his finishes. In addition, from his only previous start here he finished an impressive 4th place.
Estes beaten by Byrd by 6
Merrick beat Byrd by 2

Stake 3pts Ogilvie to beat Herron -110 @ Bet365
It's hard not to like Ogilvie's chances this week. His form and consistency this season has been impressive, last time out at the US Bank he put together four excellent rounds and he has performed well here on the last three occasions. With a superior h2h against Herron and conditions in his favour he should be hard to beat here.
Ogilvie beat Herron by 4

Stake 2pts K Jones to beat Stadler -110 @ Ladbrokes
Jones typically performs well at this time of the year where his average FP comes down by around 10 places. And since coming back from a treadmill injury he has put together 4 good finishes from 5 starts. His recent stats are impressive now that he's back on his favoured Bentgrass greens. I'm happy taking on Stadler who's form has been poor this season and he has missed the cut on more than 50% of his starts.
Jones beat Stadler by 6

Stake 2pts Gore to beat Duval -110 @ Intertops
So can a decent performance in one event where he has performed well in the past justify these odds in an event where he opened with an 80 last time out? I'm on the side of no.
Gore beat Duval (mc)
