2-3; -2.50pts
Round 1 play (2pts):
Jim Furyk to beat Anthony Kim -110 @ Five Dimes LOST by 8 Backing the old head against the excitable youngster in this Ryder Cup letdown week. Kim may have been outstanding against Garcia on Sunday, but was extremely inconsistent during the first two days and a limited field strokeplay event will be quite a letdown for Kim after his emotions of last week. Furyk was just as impressive on the course and is much more able to cope with the transition back to a normal strokeplay event
Round 3 plays (2pts):
Briny Baird to beat D.J. Trahan +102 @ Pinnacle WON by 1
Robert Allenby to beat Ben Curtis -113 @ Pinnacle WON by 1
Round 4 plays (2pts):
Robert Allenby to beat Ben Curtis -112 @ Pinnacle LOST by 6 Curtis has certainly played a lot better this week than last, but given that he ranks 109th in final round scoring average on the PGA Tour and has broken 70 just once in the eight occasions over the last five years that he has started the final round in the top-5, he should lose to Allenby for a second successive day
Steve Stricker to beat Kenny Perry -110 @ WSEX TIED Steve Stricker to beat Stuart Appleby -105 @ Five Dimes LOST by 3 A big difference in the final round scoring averages of these players: Stricker ranks 2nd on the PGA Tour, whereas Perry ranks 104th and Appleby 97th. With Stricker playing much better from tee-to-green yesterday, I'd expect him to finish off this tournament as well as he has done all season
