3-4; -2.06pts

Round 1 plays (2pts):

Kevin Sutherland to beat Matt Kuchar -125 @ Bet365 and Carib  TIED
Sutherland has a very good record in this event with a perfect 5-0 h2h record against Kuchar around this course and has yet to shoot a lower 1st round score than Kuchar at River Highlands. Even looking at this year's events alone, he leads Kuchar 8-3 h2h in the 1st round, so he should be a stronger favourite

Billy Mayfair to beat John Rollins -120 @ Five Dimes  WON by 4
The head-to-heads are almost as strong in this matchup with Rollins' record of four missed cuts in five previous visits comparing very unfavouriably with Mayfair's course record. And then there's the U.S. Open angle: both Rollins and Kuchar played all four days at Torrey Pines, whereas neither Mayfair and Sutherland played in last week's U.S. Open and should be much fresher for the 1st round

Round 2 plays (2pts):

Chris DiMarco to beat Lucas Glover -105 @ Carib  LOST by 3
Not sure where yeaterday's round by Glover came from as he'd missed all three previous cuts in this event, but it should point to a repitition being less likely. By contrast, DiMarco has never missed a cut in six previous visits and with a noticeable improvement in his form recently, he looks more likely to build on yesterday's 66

Heath Slocum to beat Hunter Mahan -104 @ Pinnacle  [also available @ Carib and WSEX]  LOST by 3
Both players with good course histories, but even though it is hard to oppose a player who has finished 2nd and 1st in the last two years, he is simply not playing as well this year. Slocum has finished ahead of him in each of their last four common events and even though they did the same number of greens in regulation Slocum averaged 22 feet from the hole and Mahan 28 feet. That's why Slocum ended the day higher on the leaderboard and it should remain so until Mahan raises his game

Round 3 plays (2pts):

Ken Duke to beat Lucas Glover +115 @ WSEX  [available widely]  WON by 1
Tom Pernice to beat Lucas Glover -120 @ Five Dimes  WON by 3
Opposing Glover again even though it was unprofitable to do so yesterday. He defied his previous poor form to lie 2nd at the cut, but he has never done well from this position even on courses that he had previously played well on: he has been in this position three times on the PGA Tour, shooting over-par in the 3rd round every time, finishing the day outside the top-10 on each occasion as well. Duke is much better in this position and has outscored Glover in their last three 3rd rounds anyway so looks good value at these odds, while Pernice finished 3rd on this course four years ago and is a perfect 5-0 h2h against Glover in the 3rd round this year

Round 4 plays (2pts):

Heath Slocum to beat Hunter Mahan +125 @ Bet365  [also available @ Five Dimes]  LOST by 2
Opposing Mahan with Slocum again and even though this play lost in the 2nd round, that was the only round in which Slocum didn't shoot a lower score than Mahan. Slocum is in 2nd place and in perfect place to put the leader under pressure and it is a position from which he has won twice from seven previous occasions and only once did he finish outside the top-4. Mahan has been 3rd with 18 holes to play three times and shot 74-75-76 on those three occasions. Opting for the ties lose option with Bet365's 'pick your own' matchups as this represents better value than the -108 with Five Dimes

Vijay Singh to beat Stewart Cink -109 @ Pinnacle  LOST by 1
Cink has only won twice from 10 attempts when entering the final round in the lead, so it is easy to oppose him with Vijay in this situation. The fact that the weather is forecast to get worse throughout the day will only make defending a lead all the more challenging
