Round 1 plays (2pts):
John Riegger to beat Kenneth Ferrie -115 @ Five Dimes LOST by 2 Ferrie has spent the last eight weeks at home and, according to his site, apparently doing little more than playing in a local PGA North event and organising a charity day. It is difficult to see him being anything other than very rusty this week
Briny Baird to beat Ryuji Imada -110 @ Five Dimes WON by 2 Backing the ultra-consistent Baird in this matchup. Apart from a withdrawal due to illness in Memorial Tournament, he has made every cut since the PODS Championship in early March (19 events), whereas Imada has missed half of his last sixteen cuts
Tim Herron to beat Pat Perez -115 @ Carib LOST by 5 Herron has shown some improved form in his last few events and with rain forecast for the start of the event, this should increase his advantage over Perez
Tag Ridings to beat Michael Letzig -105 @ Five Dimes WON by 7 Letzig is another player who doesn't play well in wet conditions - over the last six months, he has averaged 76 in this conditions - so this could not be a good week for one of the players on the 'Tour Card Bubble'
Adding (2pts):
Mathew Goggin to beat Woody Austin -110 @ Bet365 WON by 3 Never out of the top-10 all week last year against a player making his course debut, this should be a sizeable advantage for Goggin and particularly if it rains as expected
Round 2 plays (2pts):
Bill Haas to beat Kevin Streelman -110 @ Five Dimes LOST by 2 Both players have already done enough to keep their Tour Cards for 2009, so with the cold weather set to continue, motivation may be an issue with them outside the cut line after round one. Being just one shot over the cut line, with a 4th place finish two weeks ago and a top-10 finish on this course last year, Haas should be the more motivated of the two
John Merrick to beat Davis Love -110 @ Five Dimes WON by 2 Two more players outside the cut line and DL3 should be the player to oppose in this situation and in these cold conditions. His best finish all year has been 19th and that was in the British Open. He did manage to top the greens in regulation stats yesterday, but his putting was so once again poor he still finished the day three-over-par. He currently ranks 183rd on the Tour in putting average, so there is little prospect of it improving today and Love shooting a low score
Adding (2pts):
Tom Pernice to beat Brian Davis -111 @ Unibet LOST by 4 Backing the player in the better form and but for a final hole double-bogey would have won this matchup yesterday
Round 4 play (2pts):
Jeff Overton to beat Jason Day -111 @ Unibet WON by 2 Backing the player who ranks 1st in greens in regulation this week and was 12th last year on this course. His PGA Tour record when in the top-5 with one round to play is also a little better than Day's: 2nd, 6th and 9th versus 11th and 6th
