Stake 3pts Ames to beat Leonard +105 @ Five Dimes, WSEX
Ames is a safe choice given his superb consistency and accuracy. Leonard has had a great season and eventually gained a deserved victory last week. It's unclcear how he is going to react to that, Ames has the better course form and is hard to resist at odds against.
Ames beaten by Leonard by 3

Stake 3pts Crane to beat Kim +105 @ William Hill
Crane is fine form with top ten finishes in his last two starts and consistent form throughout the season. He has the necessary accurate game for this event which makes it surprising that he hasn't shown better form in previous events. But he at least does have some decent form at Torrey Pines. Kim has two missed cuts from his previous starts here but performed well in his only previous US Open start. However he has been ionconsistent for most of this season and I can;t get excited about his chances this week.

Stake 3pts Imada to beat Donald +137 @ William Hill
Stake 3pts Imada to beat Romero -110 @ Expekt
It's irrelevant whether you think Donald has under-acheived this year or is deteriorating or in fact over-rated, given what Imada has acheieved this is agreat price. Imada has three top ten finishes to his name this season and a victory. He has a very decent record in this event and has an excellent record on this course, including a second place in this seasons Buick. Donald has been inconsistent this season and his total driving stats are just not up to scratch. The same can be said for Romero who has exceptional promise but is horribly wayward off the tee at times.
Imada beat Donald (WD)
Imada beat Romero 3

Stake 3pts Weir to beat Goosen +100 @ The Greek
Stake 3pts Weir to beat Leonard -111 @ Totesport
It's not hard to see why Weir is fanncied this week with his game being in fine form, a second place finish last time out, six top twenty finishes in his previous nine US Open starts and a fifth place finish in his only previous start here. Goosen has improved after a poor start to the season but he is still shwoing a lack of consistency, his accuracy off the tee is worryingly poor and although has performed well in this event in the past he equally capable of missing the cut.
Weir beaten by Goosen by 1
Weir beat Leonard by 3

Stake 2pts Mickelson to beat Woods +172 @ Expekt       (+170 @ Carib)
Woods has an exemplary record in this event and on this course. Mickelsons record is second to Woods. Woods has been off the course since his second place finish in the Masters two months ago and those question marks give rise to this being decent value.
