6-8; -2.51pts Round 1 plays (1pt): Bubba Waton to beat J.B. Holmes -110 @ Five Dimes TIED Bubba Watson to beat Jerry Kelly +105 @ Stan James [tie loses] LOST by 4 Watson was the joint leader in this event with a round to play last year and could be a player to back this week if you overlook his last two starts. Against Holmes that is not a concern as he has missed the cut in his last two starts and has a best finish of 48th in three attempts on this course. Against Kelly it is also not a concern as he is also not the player that he was, missed the cut last time out and while he does have a decent record in this event, that was some years ago; he almost finished in last place last year. Steve Flesch to beat Jerry Kelly -110 @ Five Dimes LOST by 1 By the same token, Flesch can also beat Kelly this week. His best years at this course are also in the past, but he is coming off a top-10 finish in the Transitions Championship last week. Fred Couples to beat Padraig Harrington +120 @ Paddy Power LOST by 10 Opposing Harrington once again despite a 20th place finish in the CA Championship; he had struggled in his previous three events. Couples has a good record in this event - top-15 finish in 2004 and 2005 and returned last year to lead after the 1st round (Pod hasn't played since missing the cut in 2000). Add in Couples' top-3 finish last time out and he is worth backing at these odds. Graeme McDowell to beat Ross Fisher -104 @ Unibet [also available @ Stan James] WON by 5 I'd rather back a player who finished 2nd on this course last time out and has a great deal more experience on the PGA Tour than someone making his course debut. Round 2 plays (1pt): Kevin Na to beat Trevor Immelman +100 @ SkyBet [tie loses] WON by 3 Brian Gay to beat Trevor Immelman +105 @ Stan James [tie loses] LOST by 1 Round 3 plays (1pt): Steve Marino to beat James Nitties -120 @ Five Dimes [available widely] LOST by 1 Lucas Glover to beat Oliver Wilson +100 @ Five Dimes [available widely] WON by 9 Kevin Na to beat Ryuji Imada -115 @ Carib LOST by 3 J.B. Holmes to beat Jerry Kelly -110 @ Five Dimes WON by 4 Jeev Milkha Singh to beat Ryuji Imada -110 @ The Greek LOST by 1 Scott Verplank to beat Charles Howell +120 available widely [tie loses] WON by 3 Round 4 plays (1pt): Brendt Snedeker to beat Webb Simpson -116 @ Bet365 LOST by 2 Hunter Mahan to beat Jeev Milkha Singh +105 @ Five Dimes TIED * thanks to Mahan FIVE-putting the 16th hole! * John Senden to beat Ryuji Imada -110 @ Five Dimes WON by 6
