4-1; +3.35pts

Round 1 plays (1pt):

Kevin Sutherland to beat Joe Ogilvie and Ryan Palmer +130 @ Stan James, William Hill, BlueSq and Boyle Sports [available generally]  WON by 1
Couldn't find any 2-ball matchups that I liked, so will add some 3-ball plays instead. Sutherland has by far the best course form of these three - 6th and 8th in the last two years vs. 57th and 50th for Ogilvie and mc and mc for Palmer - and has dominated this 3-ball matchup over the last 12 months: the h2h record is 9-3-0. No wonder Five Dimes make Sutherland -105 in this matchup.

Ken Duke to beat Matt Bettencourt and Mathias Gronberg +180 @ Unibet [also available @ Boyle Sports]  LOST by 6
Rather more speculative play on Duke. He has been struggling for form, but when he has played well, it has been in the 1st round. He led the Byron Nelson Championship after 18 holes in May and opened with a 66 in the Travelers Championship last time out. He was also the first round leader last year, so he may be encouraged by his return to this course. Bettencourt is the main danger as he is playing very well at the moment, but this will be his course debut, while Gronberg's record here over the last five years reads: mc, mc, 75th, mc, mc.

Round 2 play (1pt):

Spencer Levin to beat Jeff Quinney -130 @ Five Dimes  WON by 3

Round 3 plays (1pt):

Steve Stricker to beat Scott Verplank -138 @ Pinnacle [also available @ Paddy Power and WSEX]  WON by 1

Brandt Snedeker to beat Scott McCarron +105 @ Stan James [tie loses]  WON by 5

NOTES

Plays will typically be 1pt and cover only '2-ball' matches rather than '3-balls' matches. Note that '1pt' represents 'to win 1pt' if the player is odds-on (negative in moneyline terms or less than 2.0 in decimal odds) and represents '1pt staked' if the player is odds-against (positive in moneyline terms or at least 2.0 in decimal odds). If ties lose, this will be indicated.

Reasons will be given for round 1 plays, but thereafter the plays will be listed only - there is less time for handicapping between rounds, plus if I detail too many intra-round angles during the course of the season, the odds will surely be adjusted in future if the angles are profitable.
