10-6; +2.19pts

Round 1 plays (1pt):

Steve Flesch to beat Todd Hamilton -115 @ Five Dimes  WON by 9
Hamilton has had a couple of good events in the past month, but with just one sub-par round in the last four years at Quail Hollow, it appears unlikely that this will be another good event for him. Flesch does miss a lot of cuts (as well as recording two top-10 finishes in his last four starts), but he has made the cut in each of the last five years here, so should be the favourite in this matchup.

Camilo Villegas to beat Chad Campbell -138 @ William Hill  WON by 1
Campbell missed the cut here in 2006 and 2007 and then skipped this event last year. He may have finished 2nd in The Masters, but this is a very different event and with the rough shorter than last year, it should suit Villegas even more.

K.J. Choi to beat J.B. Holmes -150 @ Paddy Power  TIED
With evidence of Choi's game turning around last week (he finished 24th, but was also 14th in greens in regulation), I'll certainly back him against a player like Holmes. Even with his recent slump in form, he had only finished behind Holmes once this year ... over the last 10 months, Holmes has finished ahead of Choi in only two tournaments.

NOTES

Plays will typically be 1pt and cover only '2-ball' matches rather than '3-balls' matches. Note that '1pt' represents 'to win 1pt' if the player is odds-on (negative in moneyline terms or less than 2.0 in decimal odds) and represents '1pt staked' if the player is odds-against (positive in moneyline terms or at least 2.0 in decimal odds). If ties lose, this will be indicated.

Reasons will be given for round 1 plays, but thereafter the plays will be listed only - there is less time for handicapping between rounds, plus if I detail too many intra-round angles during the course of the season, the odds will surely be adjusted in future if the angles are profitable.
