Bets: 5 Wins: 2 Losses: 3 Profit/Loss = - 4.78 pts Stake 3pts Byrd to beat Bettencourt -125 @ TheGreek Win Byrd has been in decent form of late and managed a 14th place finish here last year. Bettencourt is making his course debut and is not in the same class as Byrd. He trails 14-1 to Byrd in h2h's this season. Stake 3pts Hoffman to beat Taylor -110 @ Bet365 Lose Hoffman has been superbly consistent and that shows with a healthy h2h lead over Taylor. In fact when Hoffman missed the cut at The Open Championship last time out it was his first missed cut in over a year. Taylor obviously has the better course form with back to back wins here but he hasn't played here since 2005 and his form this year is littered with numerous missed cuts. Stake 2pts Slocum to beat MacKenzie -110 @ Stan James Win MacKenzie won this event back in 2006 but his finish in 2007 was average and that was only down to a superb opening round. That course form is better than Slocum who has a couple of missed cuts from three previous starts and he hasn't played here since 2003. But Slocum has been striking the ball very well of late only to be let down by his short game and there is no reason that he should be disadvantaged by the course conditions. His game looks to be coming together nicely of late and he is a lot more relaible than Bettencourt. Stake 3pts McNeill to beat Quinney -125 @ FiveDimes Lose Neither player has any decent course form to speak of but both players have been playing better of late. But with a 10-4 h2h lead this season McNeill is the better and more consistent performer and Quinney's lack of distance could be shown to be a disadvantage this week. Stake 3pts M Wilson to beat Rollins -110 @ Expekt Lose Wilson has shown this season that he has the ability to go close in weaker events and with only one missed cut in his last eight starts he looks a decent sort to contenc again this week. He also has a couple of top ten finishes here in the past, although he also has missed the cut too. Rollins has arguably the better course form with three top twnety finishes but has only played here once in the last five seasons. He did finish eigth last week at the Buick but Rollins has shown time and again an inability to follow up a decent performance with another.
