1pt ew Hunter Mahan @ 50-1 Coral, Sportingbet 0.5pts ew Kevin Na @ 66-1 General 0.25pts ew Tom Gillis @ 300-1 Sportingbet Mahan is a quality player who has thus far failed to fulfil his potential in terms of victories. He also missed the cut at Riviera last week and missed the cut on his last two visits to Pebble Beach. Doesn't sound too promising, but that is why he is 50-1. Delving a little deeper shows that he finished inside the top 20 at this event in both 2006 and 2007 and that is enough for me to take a chance on him this week. Na is one of those players who seems to fly under the radar while steadily improving. He has registered an impressive ten top ten finishes since the beginning of 2009, including his last two outings. He has no great form at this event, but there is no reason why the courses shouldn't suit him and I expect him to put in another solid performance. Gillis is obviously a very speculative bet, but I can't resist a small dabble at 300-1. He finally got his card back this year after a hugely impressive Nationwide Tour season that included a run of seven top 10's in eight outings. This season he has made a solid start on the PGA Tour, making all three cuts and with two top 30 finishes.
