1-1; +1.60pts  (system plays: 2-3-0)

Round 1 play (4pts):

Heath Slocum to beat J.B. Holmes -102 @ Pinnacle [also available @ FiveDimes and WSEX]  WON by 4
Opposing Holmes again after picking the wrong round to do so on Sunday. He has played in this event twice previously, missing the cut by five and six shots on those two occasions and while he has been playing well, there should be some doubt/frustration growing in his game. Two weeks ago he led the Players Championship after the 1st round and didn't shoot under 70 again, while last week he led the Texas Open after Sunday morning's round, but then collapsed spectacularly in the afternoon: seven-over-par for his opening nine holes. Slocum, by contrast, has been much less noticeable, but he has been in good form, finishing 18th in The Masters, 8th in the Verizon Heritage, 29th in the Quail Hollow Championship and 4th in the Players Championship in the last five weeks. With that form he can easily match Holmes, and particularly on a par-70 course.

No round 2 plays.

Round 3 play (2pts):

Ben Crane to beat Marc Leishman -120 @ Bet365 [available generally]  LOST by 2
Both lie in 6th place after 36 holes, but Crane looks far more likely to remain in the top-10. Leishman has missed four of nine cuts since February with a best finish of 15th, whereas Crane has missed just one cut, already has a Tour win this year and is coming off a 4th place finish in the Players Championship. No surprise that Leishman has finished ahead of Crane just once this season.

[unofficial rd3 system plays: Overton tb Williamson -150 (W); Sabbatini tb Pavin -120 (L); Points tb Garrigus -111 (W); Crane tb O'Hair -110 (L); Points tb Pavin -135 (L)]

NOTES

There will be only one play per round - my 'best bet' - and these will typically be 2pts and cover only '2-ball' matches rather than '3-ball' matches. Where my analysis points to a particular mismatch that is not reflected in the odds, higher stakes may be advised, up to a maximum of 6pts.

Note that '2pts' represents 'to win 2pt' if the player is odds-on (negative in moneyline terms or less than 2.0 in decimal odds) and represents '2pts staked' if the player is odds-against (positive in moneyline terms or at least 2.0 in decimal odds).
