I will be looking to fade Fowler in this his rookie season on tour. There is a lot of hype for this kid and no doubt he is talented but rookie year on tour can be difficult. New courses each week and the traveling can affect even the most talented. Kuchar has played Waialae 7 of the past 9 years with only one respectable finish, but his play the past few months has been excellent and I will back his consistent play against Fowler who is sure to have some turbulence in his first year on tour.

Stake 1.17 Pts Jason Dufner -117 over DJ Trahan @ Pinnacle
This is a play on Dufner who was the Cinderella darling in last years playoffs, making it to the Tour Championship and finishing runner-up to Stricker in Boston. He had a busy offseason playing events in Australia and Japan. He played well at the Australian Masters finishing third place on similar small greens. Add that to a t13 here in 2007 and we have a contender.

Wrong player favored here. Kelly is certainly a course specialist here, winning it in 2002 along with three other top 5's and a slew of top 20's it is hard not to give the advantage to Kelly who had a tune-up last week.

Stake 1.05 pts Fredrik Jacobson -105 over Jeff Klauk @ 5dimes
Surprised to see this is Freddie's first trip to Waialae as it should really suit his game. Great short game and putting, distance is not key here so I expect a nice finish from Jacobson. Although Klauk leads Jacobson 11-7 in head to head matchups, Freddie has beaten Klauk at similar courses to Waialae (Colonial & Harbour Town)
