1-1; -2.00pts
Round 1 play (2pts): Boo Weekley to beat Michael Sim -110 @ 5Dimes WON by 2 Two players with a history of shoulder problems, but Weekley appears to be making the more successful recovery with the stretching exercises that he employs. He has been in much better form than Sim who returned from a two-month layoff in May, but has missed three of his last four cuts and five of his last seven. Sim also has the disadvantage of not having played this course previously whereas Weekley shot 65-67 over the first two rounds last year. He may not finish events very well, but last year was evidence of when best to back Weekley: he currently ranks almost 100 places higher and one full shot better than Sim in 'Pre-Cut Scoring Average' on the PGA Tour. Round 2 play (4pts): Kevin Na to beat Martin Laird +105 @ SkyBet
LOST by 6 Backing Na to repeat yesterday's performance and shoot the lower score. He has been playing much better than Laird recently and he has dominated this matchup this year over both 72-holes where he holds a 10-3-0 lead over Laird and over the 2nd round where he holds a 10-2-1 lead. No further plays in this event as I am now going on a much-needed vacation! Back on Sunday 29th August. |
NOTES
There will be only one play per round - my 'best bet' - and
these will typically be 2pts and cover only '2-ball'
matches rather than '3-ball' matches. Where my analysis points to a
particular mismatch that is not reflected in the odds, higher stakes may be
advised, up to a maximum of 6pts.
Note that '2pts' represents 'to win
2pt' if the player is odds-on (negative in moneyline terms or less than 2.0 in decimal odds) and represents
'2pts staked' if the player is odds-against (positive in moneyline terms or at least 2.0 in decimal odds).
