1-1; -3.80pts (system plays: 6-3-1) No round 1 plays. Round 2 play (4pts): Ben Curtis to beat Tom Pernice -145 @ 5Dimes LOST by 2 Opposing Pernice who is continuing to play on the PGA Tour whenever even though it has meant that has missed the Senior British Open last week and the U.S. Senior Open this week. He is clearly inspired by the fact that he finished 2nd in the Viking Classic two weeks ago - though he led with one hole to play - but he had missed last previous two cuts on the PGA Tour and he missed the cut in Canada last week. He lies 16th after the 1st round, so he may make the cut this week - he didn't on this course last year - but I can't see him being competitive again as he was in the Viking event - it was his first top-5 finish on the PGA Tour since 2006. Curtis has now shot all of his five rounds on this course under 70 and is more likely to do so again today. [unofficial rd2 system plays: Immelman tb Atwal -125 (W); Stroud tb Taylor -118 (T); Simpson tb Kirk -125 (W)] No round 3 plays. Round 4 play (2pts): Cameron Tringale to beat Chris Couch -111 @ Bet365 [also available @ SkyBet and Stan James] WON by 3 Opposing Couch whose last top-25 finish was back in April. He currently lies 5th so should achieve that elusive top-25 finish, but he has not been in the top-10 heading into the final round since April and the last five times that he has been in this position, he has shot 77-74-71-71-72 in the final round. He shouldn't beat Tringale who has finished in the top-25 in his last three starts, currently lies 7th and has been in the top-10 heading into the final round twice in the past two months - he shot 68-69 on those occasions. [unofficial rd4 system plays: Simpson tb Haas B -105 (L); Simpson tb Woodland -120 (L); Tringale bt Merrick -125 (W); Kim A tb Stallings -138 (L); Barnes tb Strickler -154 (W); Romero tb Stanley -125 (W); Davis tb Barnes -111 (W)] |
NOTES
There will be only one play per round - my 'best bet' - and
these will typically be 2pts and cover only '2-ball'
matches rather than '3-ball' matches. Where my analysis points to a
particular mismatch that is not reflected in the odds, higher stakes may be
advised, up to a maximum of 6pts.
Note that '2pts' represents 'to win
2pt' if the player is odds-on (negative in moneyline terms or less than 2.0 in decimal odds) and represents
'2pts staked' if the player is odds-against (positive in moneyline terms or at least 2.0 in decimal odds).
