Stake 3 pts Jonathan Byrd +115 over Charles Howell @ WSEX

 The in form Byrd should actually better suited for Waialae with his low ball flight and accurate driving. No doubt Howell has a marvelous record at this event but with the winds up and Byrd active a week ago, I see no reason for Byrd to be the underdog in this matchup.

Stake 3.6 pts Brian Gay -120 over Ryan Palmer @ 5dimes

 Opposing the defending champion with the accurate Gay who should be suited well for this course. His dominating wins at Harbour Town and TPC Southwind (two similar style courses) two years ago make Sony a chance for another dominating performance. Palmer didn't fare too well last week and I will take my chances with another solid wind player.

 Stake 1.49 pts Steve Stricker -149 over Matt Kuchar @ Carib

 No overthinking this play as Stricker is the deserving favorite of the tournament and showed last week he is not rusty in the least. Kuchar is a formidable opponent but once again the veteran experience of Stricker should be to his advantage in difficult conditions this week

 Stake 2.2 pts Heath Slocum -110 (ties lose) over Marc Leishman @ william hill

Another solid player who has thrived on these short courses demanding accuracy.
