Reavie continued his recent good form yesterday. Before this event, he had finished in the top-5 at Colonial in May and in the top-5 last week at Deere Run and he finished the first round just one shot behind the leaders as he seeks his second win on the PGA Tour. In this form, he continue for at least one more day. By contrast, Gainey is much more erratic - he had a couple of back-to-back 3rd place finishes early in April, but since then he has finished mc, mc, mc, 73rd, mc, 17th, mc, mc. An eagle at the 18th hole helped him finish yesterday in 16th place, but he is clearly lacking consistency and is far more likely than Reavie to shoot a poor round today. Both players are just one shot behind the lead in 2nd place, but whereas this is a surprise with McNeill, it is far from being so with Trahan. His course record reads: 12th, 1st, 49th and 3rd, while he has made his last four cuts and that includes two top-20 finishes.
