0-2; -8.80pts (system plays: 3-1-0) No round 1 plays. Round 2 play (4pts): Chez Reavie to beat Tommy Gainey -110 @ SkyBet [also available @ Stan James] LOST by 1 Reavie continued his recent good form yesterday. Before this event, he had finished in the top-5 at Colonial in May and in the top-5 last week at Deere Run and he finished the first round just one shot behind the leaders as he seeks his second win on the PGA Tour. In this form, he continue for at least one more day. By contrast, Gainey is much more erratic - he had a couple of back-to-back 3rd place finishes early in April, but since then he has finished mc, mc, mc, 73rd, mc, 17th, mc, mc. An eagle at the 18th hole helped him finish yesterday in 16th place, but he is clearly lacking consistency and is far more likely than Reavie to shoot a poor round today. [unofficial rd2 system plays: Matteson tb Perry -138 (W); Ames tb Gainey +105 (L)] No round 3 plays. Round 4 play (4pts): D.J. Trahan to beat George McNeill -110 @ Stan James [available generally] LOST by 3 Both players are just one shot behind the lead in 2nd place, but whereas this is a surprise with McNeill, it is far from being so with Trahan. His course record reads: 12th, 1st, 49th and 3rd, while he has made his last four cuts and that includes two top-20 finishes. McNeill's best finish here has been 34th and his last top-20 finish was eleven weeks ago. [unofficial rd4 system plays: Kirk tb Kang -150 (W); DiMarco tb Gates -120 (W)] |
NOTES
There will be only one play per round - my 'best bet' - and
these will typically be 2pts and cover only '2-ball'
matches rather than '3-ball' matches. Where my analysis points to a
particular mismatch that is not reflected in the odds, higher stakes may be
advised, up to a maximum of 6pts.
Note that '2pts' represents 'to win
2pt' if the player is odds-on (negative in moneyline terms or less than 2.0 in decimal odds) and represents
'2pts staked' if the player is odds-against (positive in moneyline terms or at least 2.0 in decimal odds).
