5pts Brandt Snedeker to beat Louis Oosthuizen at evs (BlueSq) An early recommendation on a price that simply looks wrong and is unlikely to last long. Presumably the price is largely down to the South African's impressive showing at Redstone, as it's hard to fathom many other reasons why Snedeker is the outsider of the two in this match. Course form is vital at Augusta and on that basis Snedeker holds all the aces with a top 10, a top 20 and arguably an equally impressive 47th place finish on his first start as a professional in 2004 alongside a solitary missed cut in 2009. Oosthuizen in contrast has missed the cut three times out of three. 7pts Adam Scott to beat Charl Schwartzel at 5/6 (bodog) draw no bet **** EVENS AVAILABLE AT BETVICTOR with draw no bet **** I'm anticipating another strong showing from a Adam Scott who's maturing attitude and focus on the Majors looks to be paying dividends. Coming into the tournment fresh and on the back of a top 20 in 2010 and a runners-up finish last year, there's every reason to think he'll be thereabouts again. The record of defending champions on the other hand is notoriously poor and with Charl's game having deserted him in the last couple of tournaments - particularly his putting - I'd be surprised to see him contend again this year. Just seen betvictor are offering even money with draw no bet & therefore adding an extra point to the stake as this represents outstanding value. 6pts Justin Rose v Keegan Bradley 7/8 (bodog) draw no bet (10/11 at William Hill but tie loses) Siding with Rose who has a wealth of experience at Augusta and an impressive record to boot. His form so far in 2012 has also been excellent highlighted by his victory at the Cadillac Championshio last month. Bradley's form has also been highly impressive but no matter how many practice rounds he's played with Phil Mickelson there's no substitute for the real thing and the fact remains that he's making his debut. There's also a fair weight of expectation on his shoulders after his PGA Championship win in his first Major appearance last year. I'm keen to take him on this week and Rose looks an ideal candidate to do so with. 5pts Jose Maria Olazabal to beat Darren Clarke at 11/10 (BetFred) Cannot see how two-time champion Olazabal can be priced up as the outsider against Clarke who, as well as struggling to find any kind of form since his Open Championship triumph, is also battling injury. I fully expect an inspired Olazabal to put in a good performance and make the cut at least whereas I'd be surprised if the Open Champion even makes the weekend. |
