BACK Phil Mickelson to win 25pts @30 (i.e. stake 0.86pts)

BACK Brandt Snedeker to win 25pts @36 (i.e. stake 0.71pts)

Two that look a little bit big to me given their achievements this season. Mickelson has been in almost career best form in the period starting from the electric finish at The St Jude then on to the US, Scottish and British Opens. The slight lull since then can maybe be put down to a bit of a reaction to the win at Muirfield, and also the courses perhaps not suiting him. That shouldn't be the case this week though - last time they played here in 2009 he liked the course so much that he joined up as a member.

Snedeker too seems to have a liking for courses near the coast, with wins at Harbour Town, Torrey Pines and Pebble Beach. As current Fed-Ex champion he will be very keen to put up a good defence and with plenty of points to make up on Tiger a win here would be a perfect start to that.
