result: 0-2, -3.19 BACK Bubba Watson to win 35pts @23 (i.e. stake 1.59pts) BACK Scott Piercy to win 75pts @48 (i.e. stake 1.6pts) Bubba comes here off the back of 4th place at the Travellers, although it probably should have been better than that were it not for a wet ball on the 16th hole on Sunday and a much publicised spat with the his caddy over club selection. It doesn't seem to be affecting him too much though - he's been enjoying the facitlites at the Greenbrier resort for the past week. Whether or not he's also been getting a few practise sessions in on the course is less clear but a lack of course experience doesn't seem to be too much of a problem - all the previous winners were playing it for the first time. It's also a course where some long hitters have done well so should be up his street. Piercy is another who is long off the tee, and he has a couple of top 20s to his name here. He started the season well before fading in the Florida swing but has got back in to some form and think it's fine to overlook his missed cut at the US Open - the conditions here should suit him much better. |
