RESULT: 0-3, -2.23 position going in to final round: Ryan Moore: 23.45 Jim Furyk: 23.28 The field: -2.23 ---------------------------- BACK Bubba Watson to win 25pts @25 (i.e. stake 1.04pts) BACK Ryan Moore to win 25pts @38 (i.e. stake 0.68pts) BACK Jim Furyk to win 25pts @50 (i.e. stake 0.51pts) Sticking with Bubba as he seems to be fully over the illnesses which disrupted his first few weeks of the season. Has some reasonable form in this event and while this isn't a bomber's paradise of a course, over the years a number of notable big hitters still seem to have done well here - from J.B. Holmes who has five top 15s in a row here the last five years back to Freddie 'boom boom' Couples with two wins and endless other high finishes. Ryan Moore had a sluggish start to the season but hit form with a bang at the Pheonix Open, stringing together 4 rounds in the mid sixties to finish 4th. 4th is also where he finished here two years ago, and with a 17th last year it seems the course suits him. With small greens and tree lined fairways it places demands on shot making and that is right up Moore's street. He finished last season very strongly, capping it off with a win and would be no surprise to see him add another one here. Furyk's run out at Pebble last week will hopefully have blown off the cobwebs and he will be very eager to put last season's disappointments behind him and find some success again. He has buckets of course experience and a few good finishes here to hisn name. |
