RESULT 1-1, +12.0 Update after round 3: Snedeker's great form continues and he goes in to the final round with a share of the lead. With the names around him I think most would expect him to go and win here, however that weight of expectation might just count against him, and there is a possibility that if things begin to not go his way his recent run of 2nd and 3rd places could start to play on his mind too. I'm hopeful he can go on and win but taking it all in to account I think it's worth laying off a little here. LAY Brandt Snedeker to a liability of 8pts @2.24 (i.e. stake 6.45pts) position now: Brandt Snedeker: 12.0 The field: 4.91 --------------------------------- BACK Brandt Snedeker to win 20pts @14 (i.e. stake 1.54pts) Hummed and hawed over this one as to be honest I'd like to be getting just a shade bigger of a price, but there are enough positives for Snedeker that I think there is still some value here. Nobody has come out the blocks as fast as he has this season, with a 3rd and two 2nd places already, and if you take out Tiger and Phil's two exceptional performances he would be coming here on the back of two straight wins. His Pebble form isn't that great, but he did come 8th in the US Open here and he has extremely good form at Torrey Pines, another coastal Californian course with poa greens. His play so far this season has merited a win and maybe this week he will get it. |
