BACK Adam Scott to win 20pts @16.5 (i.e. stake 1.29pts) BACK Luke Donald to win 20pts @17.5 (i.e. stake 1.21pts) BACK Jim Furyk to win 20pts @29 (i.e. stake 0.71pts) Adam Scott seems to keep his schedule very light these days, so to be able to back him off the back of a good finish the week before may be a rare opportunity! He improved his score every round in that event at Doral, culminating in the final round 64 that propelled him to a tie for 3rd place. On top of that he ranked number 1 in all around stats and every part of his game seems to be on song. Donald may still have question marks over his mentality in majors but this is the sort of run of the mill event he is entirely comfortable in winning - proved by him doing exactly that last year! A sluggish start to the season by his standards but the rust should be off now and he does produce some of his best golf in Florida - prior to last week he hadn't finished outside the top 10 in Florida in nearly 3 years. Furyk has many parallels with Donald - past winner of the event, and other good finishes (he was in the 4 man playoff last year that Donald won) and generally plays well in Florida. He also hasn't had the best start to the season but hopefully he can turn that around here on a shortish layout that requires accuracy. |
