1-1; -0.20pts Round 1 plays (4pts): David Hearn to beat Alvaro Quiros -115 @ 5Dimes LOST by 1 Big difference in current and course form between these two. Quiros finished 5th in a weak Southern Africa Tour that wasn'tco-sanctioned with the European Tour last time out, but was otherwise not in contention in any of the Middle East Swing events, whereas Hearn finished 6th in the Honda Classic last time. In terms of history on this course, Quiros has played here once and finished 28th six years ago; Hearn finished 14th in 2011 and 6th last year. James Driscoll to beat Nicolas Colsaerts +110 @ 5Dimes WON by 1 Colserts is certainly the better player, but these are good enough odds to oppose him while he adjusts to life on a new Tour - he has just one top-50 finish this year in four attempts and he has never played this course previously. Driscoll has played in five of the last six years here, making the cut four times and, as well as securing four top-50 finishes already this year, he has finished ahead of Colsaerts in six of their last eight common events. No round 2 plays. No round 3 plays. No round 4 plays. |
NOTES
* UPDATE: 18th September 2012 *
Following the dramatic reversal in the performance of my
18-hole tips over the last two months, there will be a change in my posting
policy:
There will now be posted up to a maximum of five plays per round,
but only for the PGA, European, Champions, LPGA and Nationwide Tours.
This does include co-sanctioned events by these Tours.
As before, these plays will typically be 2pts and cover only '2-ball'
matches rather than '3-ball' matches. Where my analysis points to a
particular mismatch that is not reflected in the odds, higher stakes may be
advised, up to a maximum of 6pts.
Note that '2pts' represents 'to win
2pt' if the player is odds-on (negative in moneyline terms or less than 2.0 in decimal odds) and represents
'2pts staked' if the player is odds-against (positive in moneyline terms or at least 2.0 in decimal odds).
