2-1; +4.40pts

No round 1 plays.

Round 2 plays (4pts):

Scott Brown to beat Adam Hadwin -125 @ 5Dimes  WON by 5

David Toms to beat Jonattan Vegas -107 @ Pinnacle [also available @ 5DimesPaddy PowerThe Greek and Carib]  TIED

Bendon De Jonge to beat Andres Romero +110 @ Bet365  WON by 6

Round 3 play (4pts):

Tony Finau to beat Russell Knox +105 @ 5Dimes and The Greek [also available @ SkyBetBet365 and Carib]  LOST by 4
Opposing Knox who holds a share of the lead with Andrew Putnam after 36 holes. He has never been in this position on the PGA Tour previously, but is 0-for-4 when in this position on the Web.com Tour. Opposing him with Finau looks good at these odds - he finished 12th in the Frys.com Open last week following a very successful season on the Web.com Tour this year in which he finished 8th in the Regular Season Money List and 17th on the Web.com Tour Finals Money List. That consistency suggests that he is not going to suffer from the pressure of being two off the pace in this event.

No round 4 plays.

NOTES

* UPDATE: 18th September 2012 *

Following the dramatic reversal in the performance of my 18-hole tips over the last two months, there will be a change in my posting policy:

There will now be posted up to a maximum of five plays per round, but only for the PGA, European, Champions, LPGA and Nationwide Tours. This does include co-sanctioned events by these Tours.

As before, these plays will typically be 2pts and cover only '2-ball' matches rather than '3-ball' matches. Where my analysis points to a particular mismatch that is not reflected in the odds, higher stakes may be advised, up to a maximum of 6pts.

Note that '2pts' represents 'to win 2pt' if the player is odds-on (negative in moneyline terms or less than 2.0 in decimal odds) and represents '2pts staked' if the player is odds-against (positive in moneyline terms or at least 2.0 in decimal odds).
