Gven the Monday finish at the Open, it seems prudent to be against players completing all four rounds at St Andrews, so a fresh Steve Stricker could be thre answer against Graeme McDowell. G-Mac has been struggling for most of the season, and his ball striking stats haven not been good (helped by his putting though never dangerous on his last 2 outings in Scotland). Given Stricker's limited schedule, it's never eay to assess what shape his game is in, but he's finished ahead of McDowell on their last three clashes (albeit spread out over nine months). Stricker has missed two cuts from three outings here, but a 13th placed finish suggests he can be very competitive, while McDowell posted an MC on his only visit in 2013.
