Value is very thin on the ground this week, but I am going against one of my usual rules and backing a course debutant and rare PGA tour participant Thongchai Jaidee to outscore out-of-form opponent Tony Finau. Sometimes in a 2 horse race (dnb) you just have to play the prices and opposing a player with last 5 form figures of mc-mc-mc-68-42 at heavy odds on seems a prudent move, especially as the fiddly Harbour Town track is unlikely to play to the strengths of the American bomber. A runner-up effort in Thailand in February suggests Jaidee's game is in fairly good shape, and he often ranks pretty high on the European Tour scrambling stats, likely a key component this week.
